Refund Policy
At Tacoma Language Academy, we use a credit-based system for both private lessons and courses. This policy explains how refunds and cancellations are handled, and what you can expect after making a purchase.
1. Credits
When you purchase lessons or courses, you are purchasing credits. These credits can be used to book private lessons, group lessons, or enroll in courses.
All credits are non-refundable. Once purchased, they cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative services. This helps us maintain low administrative overhead and keep pricing clear and fair.
Credits do not expire and may be transferred to another member of the Tacoma Language Academy upon request.
2. Private Lessons
If you cancel a private lesson with more than 24 hours' notice, your credit will be returned to your account. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson will result in the credit being forfeited.

3. Courses
Credit refunds for courses are available only before the course begins. Simply unenroll and your credit(s) will be returned to your account. Once the first class has started, no credit refunds will be issued.
If a course is canceled by Tacoma Language Academy, all enrolled students will receive a full refund of the credit(s) used.
4. How to Request a Refund or Transfer
Credits are non-refundable, but may be transfered to another member of the Tacoma Language Academy using the feature on your account page. If you are having trouble transfering credits to another member, please contact Tacoma Language Academy with your details.
5. Payments via Stripe
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. If a refund is approved and applicable, it will be issued back to the original payment method via Stripe.

6. Processing Time
Refunds or credit transfers are processed as quickly as possible. Please allow up to five business days for funds to appear, depending on your bank or card provider.
