Payment Policy

At Tacoma Language Academy, we strive to make the payment process as smooth and flexible as possible. This policy explains how credits work across eligible TLA offerings.

1. Credit-Based System

Credits can be used for eligible TLA courses, class sections, private lessons, and small-group lessons. Each offering has a credit cost based on its length, format, and instructional scope. Credits never expire and are not academic credits.

Students may purchase credit bundles and use the same balance across different TLA offerings.

Tacoma Language Academy operates on a credit-based system. To book a lesson or enroll in a course or class section, you must first purchase credits. Credits can be purchased in advance through our website.

Credits do not expire and will appear in your account once processed. Most purchases appear immediately, but in rare cases may take up to several business days. Contact us if your credits don’t show up after a reasonable wait.

2. Course Enrollment

Courses require a set number of credits to enroll. To reserve your spot in a course, you must have sufficient credits and complete enrollment through your dashboard. Enrollment is first-come, first-served and not confirmed until credits are applied.

If you attempt to enroll without enough credits, you'll be prompted to purchase more before continuing.

3. Payment Methods and Stripe Integration

We accept the following payment methods for purchasing credits:

• Credit or debit cards via our secure payment processor, Stripe, on our website.
• At this time, we do not accept cash or checks.

Stripe processes all payments securely on our behalf. We do not store any credit card information on our servers. Only a record of purchased credits and payment status is retained. For more information, visit Stripe's website.

4. Enrollment Timing & Availability

Enrollment is only possible once you have enough credits in your account. Courses may fill quickly, so we recommend purchasing credits and enrolling as early as possible to secure your spot. Your enrollment is not confirmed until the required credits have been applied.

5. Refund Policy

In general, credits are non-refundable. Please refer to our cancellation policy and refund policy for full details on cancellations and refund eligibility.
