How Credits Work

Apply for admission to get started. Once you're accepted, you'll be able to purchase credits and start booking lessons that work for your schedule.

Tacoma Language Academy uses a simple credit system for all private and small group lessons. Instead of paying per session, you purchase credits and use them to book the lessons that fit your schedule.

Each lesson costs a set number of credits:

• 1 credit = Private lesson (1-on-1, 60 minutes)
• 2 credits = Small group lesson (2–5 people, 60 minutes total)

Other Examples of How Credits Are Used

Courses use a variable number of credits depending on their length and format. Some short courses may cost just 3–5 credits, while more intensive or multi-week courses may require 8–12 credits or more. You'll always see the credit cost before enrolling.

You'll see the required number of credits displayed clearly before booking any lesson or enrolling in a course.

Credits are exclusively for use at Tacoma Language Academy and are not transferable to any other institution.

Tacoma Language Academy is not a college or university and these credits do not represent academic credit, continuing education units, or progress toward any degree or certificate.

Credits may not be transferred, converted, or reported to any school, college, or university for academic credit, transfer credit, or financial aid purposes.

Credits never expire and may be transferred to another Tacoma Language Academy member upon request. Group credits are shared—only one person in the group needs to book and use credits.

All credit purchases are final and non-refundable. By purchasing credits, you acknowledge that they are for private language instruction only and are not academic credits of any kind.

Credit Packages

Most students purchase credits in packs. This makes each credit cost between $75 and $99 depending on the package.
